Need inspiration for what to cook your family? Try our favourite cookbooks!

We know how it feels, trying to plan your meals for the coming week can be a real chore. Not only are you normally doing this once the kids are in bed, but you also don't want to eat the same thing every week and haven't got the time or energy to create a masterpiece every night. So having your go to recipe sources is essential to help you out!

These cook books are an absolute life saver for us most weeks as their recipes are quick and easy to make, taste great and kid friendly. We might adjust the salt levels or swap the odd ingredient depending on our little team's preferences but they are great! Here's why:

Gordon Ramsay - Quick and Delicious

Why We Love It! To be fair to Gordon, he's developed a range of recipes that use recognisable ingredients and are really easy to use. There's a broad mix of recipes including meat free mains, puddings, pastas and rice based meals. So loads of variety and they do genuinely take 30mins to cook and some are also great for batch cooking.

Our Family Favourite: It has to be the Quick Butternut and Chickpea Curry! Gently warming spices with creamy coconut is an absolute winner for us and the kids!

Emily English - So Good

Why We Love It! Well if there was ever a name for a book that accurately described its contents then this is it! The recipes in So Good are.... So Good!!! The book covers sweet treats and meals which are all easy to make and packed full of great ingredients.

Our family favourite: The One-pan Tuscan Salmon is absolutely delicious and our boys are a huge fan. It takes less than 30 mins to make, only needs one pan and is full of wholesome ingredients.

Rukmini Iyer - The Quick Roasting Tin

Why We Love It! Rukmini's roasting tin cookbooks have been on our kitchen shelves for years but the quick one is now our go to. Let's be honest, if a meal takes more than 30 mins to make then it's not going to be made in our household! So having a selection of quick, healthy and easy to make recipes is crucial for any parent!

Our Family Favourite: The Quick Chicken, Leek & Chorizo Pie for sure. Our boys love a good pie and the Spanish flavours in this one elevate your normal chicken pie. We use the mild chorizo but you can always use low salt bacon if the flavour is a bit strong

So there we are - our favourite family cookbooks! We would love to know where you get your inspiration from so please post in the comments!
